The ten best days of the year

The first ten days of Dhul Hijjah are the best ten days of the year. The Prophet ﷺ said,

“There are no days during which good deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.” (Bukhari)
How can we make the most of this season of blessings?

Remembrance

Recite abundantly where permissible to remember and glorify Allah.

Recite takbeer (Allahu Akbar),

tahmeed (Alhamdulillah),

tahleel (Laa ilaaha ill-Allah),

and tasbeeh (SubhanAllah)

Fasting

Fast any or all of the first 9 days of Dhul Hijjah. The Prophet ﷺ said,

"One fast during these days is equal to the fasting of one complete year, and the worship of one night during this period is equal to the worship in the Lailatul-Qadr" (Tirmidhi)

Fast the day of Arafah

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“Fasting the day of Arafah expiates the sins of two years: the past one and the coming one.” (Muslim)

Qurbani

Revive the Sunnah of Prophet Ibrahim (AS)

"It is not their meat, nor their blood, that reaches Allah, It is their piety that reaches Allah.” (Surah Al-Haj:37)

Give in charity
